Diabetes is a metabolic disorder characterized by high blood glucose levels. It primarily includes two types:

• Type 1 Diabetes: An autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leading to high blood sugar levels. It typically develops in childhood or adolescence.
• Type 2 Diabetes: A condition where the body becomes resistant to insulin or the pancreas does not produce enough insulin. It is more common in adults but increasingly affects younger populations due to lifestyle factors.
• Gestational Diabetes: A type of diabetes that occurs during pregnancy and usually resolves after childbirth but increases the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes later in life.
